   Sapphire Bay Beach in St. Thomas has wonderful white sand and perfectly clear Caribbean Sea water.  It looks like a place that would be used to shoot a Corona Beer commercial.

   The beach is open to the public.  Nearby resorts offer watersports like sailing and kayaking.

   This picture shows the beach and the resort.  Taxis will drop visitor off in front of the resort.  You then walk through the resort's buildings to get to the beach.

    Sapphire Bay is an excellent place to swim and snorkel.
    TIP:  If you have the space, you may want to bring your own mask and snorkel with you from home.  We did not find any snorkel rentals at Sapphire Bay.  However, another cruise ship passenger was able to rent them at Magens Bay beach.  Having your own mask guarantees you will be able to snorkel at any cruise ship destination.
